- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup nut butter (e.g. almond or peanut butter)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or agave syrup Honey can be used as an alternative but is not vegan
- 1/2 cup protein powder (plant-based if vegan)
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional) For extra richness
- 1/4 cup
seeds or nuts (e.g. chia seeds, sunflower seeds, chopped walnuts)
Method
Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the oats, nut butter, maple syrup, and protein powder. Stir until well combined.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips and seeds/nuts.
- Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the dish and press down firmly.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
- Cut into bars and enjoy!
